Hayfield Sustainable Transport LTD (HSTL)

BRIEF PARTNER PROFILE

Hayfield Sustainable Transport Ltd (HSTL) is a cooperative that is set up as a not for profit, community benefit society.

HSTL was set up in March 2013 and for the past 3 years has been conducting a pilot transport project to develop new transport provision based on a minibus version of a car club.

PROJECT INVOLVEMENT

HSTL’s main contribution is in WP8 where it demonstrates the development of new transport services within the Manchester pilot of the MAAS4EU project (T8.2). It also contributes to WP3 and WP4 as well as the dissemination and exploitation activities (WP9 and WP10).

KEY PERSONNEL

Roland Strube (male): Roland has a degree in chemistry from University College London and a masters degree in combustion science & pollution control from the University of Sheffield. He worked as a combustion engineer before managing a research centre in the University of Sheffield, which involved European ERDF funding. Three years ago he set up and now runs HSTL, which is a community transport organisation that makes minibuses available on a car club basis, filling gaps in local transport provision.
