BRIEF PARTNER PROFILE

INTRASOFT International (Belgium) is a leading European company in the area of Information Technology and Communication services provision which, at the end of 2012, employed over 200 professionals located in Belgium.

INTRASOFT International (Belgium) was established in 2000 to better serve public and private sector clients throughout Western Europe with a particular focus in European Union bodies and agencies. Since then INTRASOFT International has achieved notable organic growth and consolidated organic revenue in 2012 reached € 17 million (2011: € 15 million). INTRASOFT International (Belgium) has been awarded the following certifications: Quality Management of Products and Services (ISO 9001:2008); ISO/IEC 20000-1:2005 certification that underlines the quality of INTRASOFT’s IT service management systems; ISO/IEC27001:2005 certification that recognises the strength of INTRASOFT’s information security management procedures; CMMI Level 2 (Capability Maturity Model Integration) v1.2 for its Software Development activities; and since October 2012 has been successfully appraised at CMMI Level 3 for its software development projects.

INTRASOFT International (Belgium), due to its geographical proximity to its large customers, in addition to software development, has specialised in offering ‘near-site’ services, including project management of very large and complex IT systems and services, as well as requirements gathering and validation, customer relationship management services, application operational support, and communication services. Moreover, INTRASOFT International (Belgium) offers services in the area of research and innovation policy support, including evaluation, and impact assessment studies which are supported by an established network of external consultants with significant expertise in the area of research and innovation policy formulation and strategy.

Coordination of large collaborative R&D Projects is a capacity well-developed by INTRASOFT International, having managed 19 projects to date, with a total budget of over €105Meuros.

PROJECT INVOLVEMENT

INTRASOFT International (Belgium) is undertaking the project coordination (WP1) and it is also involved in the Dissemination, Communication and Engagement activities (WP9).

KEY PERSONNEL

Mr. Konstantinos Thiveos (Male): is currently the Manager of Research and Innovation Development department at INTRASOFT International. Konstantinos brings more than 15 years of industry experience, acting as Head of Brussels Office, Senior Delivery Manager, and EU Business and Innovation Director, in organizations such as Pouliadis Group, INTRASOFT International and Globo Mobile. Konstantinos has also acted as a consultant in numerous projects and has offered research and innovation related consulting services to various European SMEs and start-ups. He has been also working as a Research and Innovation Coordinator at the Athens University of Economics and Business and has acted as an expert evaluator of proposals for EU and other National Authorities for Scientific Research and Innovation. Konstantinos holds a BSc in Computer Science from Athens University of Economics and Business and a MSc in Analysis, Design and Management of Information Systems from the London School of Economics.

Dr. George Dimitrakopoulos (Male): has received his bachelor degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering in 2002 and his Ph.D. in 2007, from the National Technical University of Athens, and the University of Piraeus, respectively. Since November 2015 he is a senior consultant and project manager at Intrasoft International S.A. Since 2009 he is also with the Harokopio University of Athens (HUA), department of Informatics and Telematics, where he is now an assistant professor. From 2002 till 2009 he was an adjunct lecturer and senior research engineer at the University of Piraeus, department of Digital Systems. He is the author of about 100 publications in international journals and conferences, whereas he has been involved in numerous internationally funded R&D projects. His research interests include the design and development of safety and emergency management algorithms for vehicular communication, as well as the design and development of strategies for the optimization of wireless networks based on cognitive networking principles.
