Tampere pilot project

This article informs about a publicly supported para-transit system, which is incorporated into the MaaS. It is the result of collaboration between Siemens Osakeyhtiö and MaaS Global. The project is being implemented in cooperation with Siemens and Tuomi Logistiikka.

In the Tampere pilot project, Siemens offers a platform for connecting Tuomi Logistiikka and other transport providers to each other, and will make the offerings of transport service producers available to MaaS Global. MaaS Global will then sell these services as travel chains to consumers.

„The technology to enable seamless use of mobility services already exists; Finland has the world’s best infrastructure for developing the MaaS concept. Our vision is that in the future you can get wherever you want, whenever you want, and by whatever form of transport you want without having to own it,” said MaaS Global CEO and Founder, Sampo Hietanen.

The pilot project now being implemented is the world’s first project to combine publicly supported rides with the MaaS concept. This solution makes it possible to achieve significant savings.
